Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. We had the steak salad with champagne vinaigrette and beef medallions and both were terrific. The waitress brought us some of the fantastic champagne vinaigrette to take home - top notch service.

Best kept dining secret in Missoula! The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful. I ordered the California Club and it was great! The environment is so warm and inviting. The fire place is a great touch. I totally recommend The Trough!
I'm into food and drinks on Sundays. 4 different mimosas, good burger with fries that tasted like they actually started as potatoes. Yeah, that hits the spot.
Man oh man. This place was great. Can I end my review there? Kidding. I stopped by The Trough for breakfast the other day, having never even heard of it before in my life. The Trough is a hidden gem in Missoula, a cozy marketside nook where you can get some of the freshest food in Missoula. Farm to table is right. Their breakfast scrambles were absolutely incredible. Simple recipes but the ingredients spoke volumes about the quality of the food. I can't wait to come back here for dinner one day!
This is now my number one place to go for brunch. The service was exceptional. Every table was full, but they make you feel like you are the only one there. The GM works right alongside his staff and helps make the experience wonderful. The food was fantastic. And the inexpensive mimosas were icing on the cake. I can't wait to bring more friends along to this gem of a place.
The steak fries "appetizer" is the stuff of legends! Hunks of steak, whole cloves of roasted garlic, sauteed onions and green chili peppers, some garlic aioli - I think - and CHEESE! Lots of cheese! We go just for these fries, but everything I've ever had on the menu is great!
